Spanish Ceramics
Alicanta ceramics originate from a small village near the southern Spanish city of Córdoba, in the Andalusia region—an area known for its long-standing tradition of clay craftsmanship and its distinctive yellow clay.
The clay is first fired once, then hand-painted and glazed, and finally fired a second time at a temperature of 950°C.
This slightly higher firing temperature compared to typical earthenware gives it greater strength and durability.
